Using Google Translate you will be able to offer your participants the ability to select the desired language on the site.
From the Dashboard > Settings > open the Advanced section and scroll down to the Google Translate radio button. Click Enable Google Translate to activate the Select Language dropdown on your Konveio site. Button show below will not show up when documents are embedded into other sites.
Users will see the Select Language dropdown in the lower righthand corner of the page and will be able to select the desired language. Google translate will translate text on the navigation bar and throughout the website. Documents PDFs will also be enabled for Google translate by default. If you DO NOT want documents to be enabled, from the Dashboard>Document>Edit>General Tab>scroll to Disable Google Translate for PDF Document and check the radio button. This allows you to decide document by document if you want the Google Translate enabled.
Users will be able to select their desired language and will be able to see text and comments translated.
Enable Google Translate
Google Translate allows participants to view your Konveio site in their preferred language by selecting it from a language menu on the site.
To enable Google Translate:
- Go to Dashboard > Settings.
- Expand the Advanced section.
- Scroll to Google Translate.
- Select Enable Google Translate.
Once enabled, a Select Language dropdown button will appear in the lower-right corner of your Konveio site, allowing participants to choose their preferred language.
Note: The Select Language dropdown is not displayed when Konveio documents are embedded on another website.
Google Translate will translate:
- Navigation menus
- Website content
- Participant comments
- PDF documents (when enabled)
Disable Google Translate for Individual PDFs
If you do not want a specific PDF to be translated:
- Go to Dashboard > Documents.
- Edit the document.
- Open the General tab.
- Scroll to Disable Google Translate for PDF Document.
- Enable this option.
This setting lets you control Google Translate on a document-by-document basis.
Share Direct Links in a Specific Language
In addition to the language selector, you can share links that automatically open your site in a participant's preferred language.
Simply append #googtrans(en%7Ces) to any page URL you want to share, replacing the es language code with the desired Google Translate language code.

Create Language-Specific QR Codes
You can also generate a unique QR code for each language-specific URL. Participants can scan the QR code to open the page directly in their preferred language, making multilingual access quick and convenient for in-person meetings, open houses, and public events.
